Blessed

We are truly blessed by the people in our churches! It seems every time we see someone from church they have a gift for Karissa! The past few sundays we haven't been able to leave church without a parcel or bag in our hands that contains some cute little outfit or stuffy.
And to top it off... After church today the people of Prattsville Reformed threw us a surprise baby shower (even though they threw us one before Karissa was born). The fellowship hall was all decorated in pink and everyone brought food to share (as well as gifts for Karissa, of course).
We were amazed when we walked into the hall. We actually went into the hall before worship which we rarely do, but the one Sunday we decide to go in the back door is the one day we shouldn't have... just goes to show you that sometimes the best laid plans get foiled in the simplest of ways. We were still surprised none the less.
We had great food and a cake welcoming Karissa that tasted amazing (thanks Sue, you make heavenly cakes!).
When we got home we laid out all the stuff Karissa got on our couch, and my oh my! Take a look at all the clothes in the last pic! Karissa got all sorts of stuff for when she is all sorts of sizes... we got two snow suits, one that she'll hopefully fit in before this winter is over and one for next winter... pants and dresses and shirts and one-pieces and jackets and bibs and blankets... many of the things you'll notice are even handmade (like a bunch of bibs, a blanket, booties, hats and a purple sweater jacket that is so cute)! And many of the people who gave us gifts today have already given us so much!
Not to mention that Friday we had our pastors' network group and a clergy couple there let us raid their attic and take whatever we wanted (their son is just over 1 year and isn't using a lot of the 'baby' stuff anymore, since he's running all over)... so now we have bouncy seats, a johnny-jump-up (the thing that hangs from a door frame), a jumperoo (basically a johnny-jump-up in a frame), a travel frame stroller for a car seat that's much smaller than our stroller, and a bunch of sleeper sacks!
So as you can imagine we're sorting through it all and doing more than a few loads of laundry.
A single "Thank You" will not suffice for all that people have done or given!
